Sorry it didn't work out this year
The Committee of Maritime Woodbridge has decided reluctantly not to stage the event this year, but has
already started work on developing a bigger and better show for 2010.
The theme for the next Maritime Woodbridge is 'The Normans', and many of the town's schools are keen to be involved. However to make the most of
this we do need to start working with them at the start of the school year in September.
There are uncertainties about the availability of the Whisstocks' Yard and Boatsheds this year, which would have necessitated moving the heart
of the show to other sites further down the river. It would also have meant accommodating the exhibition in a large marquee or marquees, which
would add a lot to the cost of the event.
Setting 2010 for the next Maritime Woodbridge, will give us time to raise the necessary funds and to set up an alternative base for the
event.
