Every year Maritime Woodbridge celebrates Woodbridge’s maritime and riverside heritage from Anglo-Saxon times to the present day.

The event is organised by and for the community. A key aspect is that it is free (and fun) for visitors, but underpinned by the heritage we all share, and which still influences the town today.

This year, the Normans re-conquer - see what's planned

In 2006 a combination of happenstance and hard work meant that the first event was a great success.
In 2007 it was decided to incorporate a theme into the event, starting with the Anglo-Saxons. Much bigger than 2006, it included many shore-side activites.
In 2008 the Vikings invaded, marauded and told sagas. All that plus a bigger and better range of shore-side activities.
and for 2010 - guess who?
