Every year Maritime Woodbridge celebrates Woodbridge’s maritime and riverside heritage from Anglo-Saxon times to the present day.
The event is organised by and for the community. A key aspect
is that it is free (and fun) for visitors, but underpinned by the heritage we
all share, and which still influences the town today.
|
|
| In 2006 a combination of happenstance and hard work meant that
the first event was a great success. |
 |
| In 2007 it was decided to incorporate a theme into
the event, starting with the Anglo-Saxons. Much bigger than 2006, it included
many shore-side activites. |
 |
| In 2008 the Vikings invaded, marauded and told
sagas. All that plus a bigger and better range of shore-side activities. |
 |
| and for 2010 - guess who? |
